Groom's Information Hiring your wedding outfits We will take you through the various suit options and accessories, matching as close as we can to your own ideas. We will be happy to advise you on any aspect during your selection of outfits. To help you select your outfit and colour scheme we have a range of samples which the groom can try on. This gives you the opportunity to see different suits, waistcoats and tie combinations until you reach your desired effect. If you want to see the finished article as it will look on your big day (in terms of the exact sizing), we can also arrange a “try on” outfit for a minimal cost. We offer wedding appointments on Sundays between 12pm and 4pm where we measure all members of your party. This ensures you have our undivided attention as the shop is not open to the public and is usually more convenient for wedding parties. Alternatively, you can just pop in during our opening hours either with your party or individually. We will contact you 10 days prior to your wedding day for a fitting. This means your party can try on their suit well before the wedding day which leaves plenty of time if any adjustments or replacement items are required. If your wedding party is split across different parts of the country, we can courier suits directly to them for a small fee. We are also part of an independent suit hire forum where we can recommend other independents to provide a measuring service at no extra cost. Buying your Wedding Outfit If you do not want to hire your outfit we have a number of alternative options for the Groom and his party. Custom Made Suits We offer a Custom Made Suit service, which has over 200 cloth designs in 100% finest Italian wool and with 25 lining colour choices. These suits are made to fit perfectly based on the design and finishing options you select. Visit www.jmsuits.com for more information. Off the Peg Suits We offer “off the peg” Lounge suits, Dinner suits, Prince Edward suits and Morning suits on a 2-3 day delivery service. Highland Wear We also offer made to measure highland wear which is traditionally manufactured by our “McLaren” family at their Glasgow based factory. We have over 200 standard tartans to choose from, although we can also source “rare” tartans at an extra cost. Our Prince Charlie and Argyll jackets and waistcoats are of superior quality and we can source all Highland Wear accessories on request. See our website for more information.
